Group Stage Format
All matches in the group stage of the 2017 Overwatch World Cup will be played as 4-map sets. Each 4-map set will be played in the following order: Hybrid, Control, Assault, Escort. In the first map, the higher seeded team will select a map from the available map pool. The lower seeded team will then choose to attack or defend first. In subsequent maps, the loser of the previous map will select the map for play, while the team that did not select the map will choose to attack or defend first (if applicable.)
- Hybrid: King’s Row / Numbani / Hollywood
- Control: Ilios / Lijiang / Nepal
- Assault: Horizon / Volskaya
- Escort: Dorado / Route 66
- Tiebreaker: Oasis
